1. StepBurrow Stahhhhhppp

Jacob is the clear favorite coming in, and despite rumors of him shopping Joe Burrow, I believe he possesses the best combination of picks and keepers coming into the season. There are no championship locks this season to me, but I think this team is a playoff lock barring complete disaster. If so, this would be the first winning season for this franchise which was led into darkness by Christian. Jacob proved he could rebuild, but he is yet to draft in Super League. Getting value for his draft picks will be the most important part of his season. He just has so many. He was one of the most active teams on the trade market last season but will have to be more patient this season to deliver a championship. Still, it's hard to ignore 7 picks in the first 3 rounds alone.

2. Parma Pirates

I think I have a great chance at a championship this coming season. I have a decent amount of extra picks in a draft where having your default picks alone puts you ahead. Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown is one of the most significant keeper duos in the league. I could come out of the draft with the number 1 pick. There's a lot I can say, but I think commissioners may be cursed from winning their own league. Jacob has more picks and a greater risk tolerance, which gives him the edge over me for now.

3. Krinkleberg

Of all the playoff teams from last year, Nathan has his team in the best position to make it back. He has a bevy of keeper level talent on his roster, he proved that he can make the right decisions in the Super League draft, and he has more trade pieces to move than any team listed above, which should equal more 2024 picks. Provided he makes the right choices with his roster, he set himself up nicely in the draft by having a few extra mid round picks, and a pick for every top round. That's seriously impressive, and I think Nathan is a legit title contender.

4. Bridge Road Orcas

Don't sleep on Jack. He's a Super League champion, and for the first time, he comes into the season with extra picks. Jack has always been a sensible fantasy player, and I anticipate he will have a bounce-back season, after missing the playoffs for the first time last season. There is a difficult decision to make roster wise, as projected keeper TJ Hockenson enters the season on the PUP list. Jack will need to fend off his tough Johnson divisional rivals to maximize his season. Still, with extra picks and CMC, anything is possible for this squad.

5. Muff Punters

As an expansion team, Tyler is starting with nothing. But nothing is better than negative. He enters the 2024 draft with the (tied) best odds at the #1 pick, and the expansion draft will prove to have at least a few valuable players. Both expansion teams from last season made the playoffs, and I suspect one from this season will as well. Tyler is coming off a championship victory in the prestigious NGFL league, so he knows his shit. I have no clue what to expect in the picks aspect with Tyler, and I haven't heard much around the league about potential moves. Still, the experience and starting hand could very well be enough for a playoff appearance in year one.

6. Play Action Jackson

Play Action Jackson has more draft picks than the three teams listed ahead of them, so don't be surprised if they jump up in this poll. Just being honest, as of today I don't trust it. If you gave them Jacob's draft haul I think they would still not be number one in my eyes. I'm hating a bit but I also don't trust them to improve their roster via trade given their negative trade image around the league. Still, PAJ has one of the most electric players in the game and (tied) number one odds in the lottery and two guaranteed top 10 selections. It's all about nailing these picks for this team.

7. Zark's Sharks

Of all the final four teams from last season, I think the Sharks are in the most favorable position. Zach is probably the most sensible owner in the league. There's a lot of deals that this team could make, and the collection of talent is up there with any team on this list in terms of tradable pieces. I would not be surprised if this team is in the thick of it come November.

8. Washington Fantasy Team

Curtis put himself in major pick debt, but he was in the same position just one year ago. He will likely continue to go into pick debt and sell pieces to work towards contention. Washington has made the playoffs every season in this league and is always a threat each week. I don't see another playoff run in the cards, but I have to give Curtis his respect this time despite starting with one of the worst starting hands of the season.

9. Bud Ice Penguins

The defending champions face an uphill battle. I am not convinced Noah will be able to put together a competitive team, despite having a great array of talent available to move. He probably will get some pick value back, but I don't trust him in the long term this season. I suspect the Penguins will enter a rebuild this season to aim for another championship in 2025. It remains to be seen how Nick will contribute to a team that isn't stacked from day 1. Noah will never be last, but I don't see a winning season for him this time. Technically the winning streak is still active though as long as he keeps winning.

10. PT Flea Flik-er

Jackson is taking over Carter's old team, and I am already hearing positive reports about him. He comes into the season with 2 first round picks (including tied for number 1 odds) and Sam Laporta, but that's about it. I expect Jackson to be smarter week to week than Carter was, and I think this will lead to future success. Given the rest of the draft situation, the current season seems out of reach already. Fortunately, there's always something to play for in Super League and anything can happen.

11. Slat's Slimes

The Slimes are in a rough spot. While they do have pieces to trade this weekend, they seem to have the least of the previous playoff teams. They have no picks in the first two rounds or round 4, which also will heavily limit their ability to add via the draft. Their keeper situation seems pretty unclear to me, despite having some solid names on the roster. I think this team will struggle given all the conditions, and will ultimately build towards 2025.

12. GIRTH

GIRTH aka Brian aka Truly is a complete unknown to Super League and the world at large. It's unclear how he will do this season, and I have no fantasy football experience with him at all. I could be completely wrong, but something gives me pause about this team for this year, and I wonder if this will end up being a rebuilding year for the team. He certainly has more picks than many above him on this list, but nothing is known to me about how he plans to draft. He could finish 1st or 12th in my opinion.
