Just a bit of banter.

Caleb Williams - Parma Pirates

Who would have thought Caleb Williams would end up here? After a brutal start to the season, Caleb Williams has inserted himself back into the NFL rookie of the year race with back to back incredible games. The Pirates looked like they wasted the #2 overall pick in the draft just a few weeks ago, but now Caleb has the Pirates playing like top dogs. Nice rushing and passing work this week gave Caleb the highest total of any QB in week 6. This performance propelled the Pirates into the Mickey Mouse Cup finals, where they have a chance to take over the league.

Mickey Mouse Cup Finals: Sacks in the City vs. Parma Pirates

Sacks in the City have had matchup of the week several times already, and they have consistently come away with W's in those games. This might be the biggest regular season game in Super League history, as it's the only one where real money and a huge advantage (the Ultimate Tiebreaker) have been up for grabs. The winner of this game will become the #1 seed in the league (for now), and will likely be the title favorite. These teams both enter this game at 5-1, the best record in the league. Both teams feature rookie QBs who have lead their teams to recent success, but Caleb Williams will be unavailable this week as the Bears are on BYE. The Sacks are also missing a key player, as Ceedee Lamb will also be on BYE. Both teams also feature a RB heavy approach, with multiple of the most consistent RBs in the league present in this matchup. As the GM of the Pirates, I'm nervous for how this will go, but as a Super League fan, this is as good as it gets. Key matchups to watch: David Montgomery vs. Kyren Williams, Derrick Henry vs. Alvin Kamara, Jalen Hurts vs. Jayden Daniels.

Bud Ice Penguins vs. Play Action Jackson

This is a huge matchup. Bud Ice enters the week on a three game losing streak, badly needing a win to stay in the playoff conversation. Play Action Jackson is coming off of a loss as well, but a win here is not really as needed as PAJ will coast to a divisional title unless multiple disasters occur. PAJ has a ton of players playing in the latest games this week, including four projected starters playing on Monday night. With only three starters playing before Sunday night football, this matchup won't really get started until Sunday and Monday night. Agony is guaranteed here.

This week, Washington Fantasy Team yet again put out a promotional video for their squad. The much maligned team has found themselves back in the thick of the playoffs race. I decided to reach out to Curtis and ask him a couple questions:

Washington Fantasy Team has not missed the playoffs in the history of this league. What has been a key to your success?

"Honestly, it comes down to making the right deals at certain moments that I think will benefit my team best for my next matchup. When I see an opportunity, I go for it, I worry about winning my next game nothing more. Plus, I love switching up my defenses each week based on matchups. It's a bit of a gamble, but more often than not, it pays off."

There were reports that the front office of Fantasy Team was discouraged by the vetoed trade this season. What would you say to those reports?

Yeah, the vetoed trade was a letdown. But I'm not going to let a few bums get in the way of my goals. I'm here to compete and have fun, and I'll keep pushing forward no matter what!
