Banter: Week 8

Just a bit of banter.

Lamar Jackson - Play Action Jackson
The namesake of Play Action Jackson erupted last week, dropping five TDs and over 300 combined passing and rushing yards. Last year's NFL MVP is starting to make a case for Super League MVP as he now has more weeks over 25 points than under. The long time keeper of this franchise is the biggest X-Factor for PAJ's success, and it looks like him, PAJ, and the Ravens are absolutely rolling right now.
Players of the Week so far:
- Saquon Barkley
- Alvin Kamara
- Derrick Henry (2x)
- Joe Burrow
- Caleb Williams
- Lamar Jackson

The Bridge Road Orcas vs. The Blue Waffles
This is a battle of two teams that are in very different spots right now. The Orcas have won six in a row going back to week 2, tied for the best record in Super League. The Waffles on the other hand are looking to reach .500 in this one. The Waffles GM Jacob said that the team will be running the table for the second half of the season, and that claim will be challenged immediately. The Waffles do have their full lineup available this week, and its extremely solid on paper. The Orcas on the other hand appear to have a ton of flex options at their disposal, so starting the right guy will be key. A loss for the Orcas here would set them back in their quest to win their division, and a loss for the Waffles could put them further away from their goal of making the playoffs. Key matchups to watch: Jordan Mason vs. Jack's flex starter, Purdy vs. Prescott, and NYJ defense vs. Broncos defense.

Washington Fantasy Team vs PT Flea Flik-er
There's not a ton of Monday night fantasy activity this week, as the Giants and Steelers don't have many starting players in Super League. This matchup could be close already, so having 3 projected starters in the matchup play on Monday auto qualifies this matchup for MNA. Pickens and Nabers line up for WFT, and Wilson lines up for PT Flea. Since this looks like a low scoring matchup, the chances of this coming down to Monday are high.

Pick Reminder
Next week, the November pick window will open at noon eastern time on Nov 1st. I wanted to go over a couple of things as its been a while since picks were tradeable:
- Picks must be traded evenly (example 1 for 1, 2 for 2, etc)
- You can only trade 2025 draft picks
- You cannot trade picks in rounds 16, 17, & 18. These are reserved for keeper selection
- Do not trade away picks if you don't plan on playing next year
- Selling teams: you can sell players for picks, but keep in mind that the toilet bowl and punishment still exist
- Buying teams: next year's punishment will be more severe than this year, so be careful
Additionally, three teams traded their 2024 draft pick, so they will be unable to trade their 2025 first rounder:
- Bud Ice Penguins
- PT Flea Flik-er
- GIRTH
The pick window will close at 11:59PM on November 30th.
