Playoff Picture Before Pick Window
With the pick window opening, I figured it would be a good time to take stock of the league. I'm going to make a last section that categorizes the teams into buyers or sellers. Also, I am writing this from bed because I am fucking ill, but I'm still getting this out because I love you guys. Power rankings coming Thursday, no matchups this week due to the pick window shenanigans.
- Commish
Projected Standings After Week 9

- Zark's Sharks 7-2

- Bridge Road Orcas 4-5

Bud Ice Penguins
The Penguins have secured the playoff spot and are closing in on securing a BYE. One more win should do it. There's not much to discuss here, since Noah and Nick have run the table so far. Obvious 1 seed.
- Tiebreakers held: Pirates (2 matchups remaining), WFT, SBS (1 matchup remaining), Orcas, Slimes, Sharks, Crooners, PAJ
- Tiebreakers held against: None
- Key Matchups Remaining: Week 13 vs Bridge Road Orcas
Zark's Sharks
I do not believe the Sharks clinched the playoffs in week 9 (it's possible they did, it's extremely complicated given the schedule), but if not, they should be one game away from doing so. The 2 seed is their ceiling at this point, but the realistic floor could be as low as 5. With 3 matchups against the Crooners and WFT remaining, there is room for chaos. The Sharks will undoubtedly make some moves to secure their spot and to enter the postseason with momentum. I expect this team to be the 2 seed.
- Tiebreakers held: WFT (2 matchups remaining), Pirates, CARTMAN (1 matchup remaining), Orcas, Slimes, PAJ
- Tiebreakers held against: BIP, SBS
- Key Matchups Remaining: Week 11 vs Washington Fantasy Team, Week 14 vs Washington Fantasy Team
Slat's Slimes
This is where things start to get interesting. Sam's squad should be an auto lock for the playoffs, but they do still have two very important matchups coming up. Having StepBurrow and CARTMAN on the schedule for a combined 3 more times just removes the possibility of the Slimes being the odd team out. If Sam can win against WFT and PGH, he should be looking to avoid the play-in and a possible BIP matchup in round 2. I'm very curious to see what this team does tomorrow.
- Tiebreakers held: CARTMAN (2 matchups remaining), Orcas, WFT (one matchup remaining), PAJ
- Tiebreakers held against: BIP, Sharks, Pirates
- Key Matchups Remaining: Week 12 vs Washington Fantasy Team, Week 13 vs PGH Crooners (decides tiebreaker)
Washington Fantasy Team
It's insane that Curtis has this squad in 4th place today. That seemed impossible at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately for this man, he has by far the most unforgiving schedule remaining in the whole league. Curtis will be faced with at least 2 more must win games before this season is over. This being said, he does have insane upside if he can win his key matchups. He has the games to fend off the Orcas and take over the 2 seed. I am predicting a 3-2 finish to the season, which would put this team right on the bubble. Fasten your seatbelts folks, because if I had to guess, Curtis already knows this and has some trade lined up to get an edge. Curtis = edge man. If he doesn't.. Then he may be the last team out.
- Tiebreakers held: Crooners, PAJ, Pirates, SBS
- Tiebreakers held against: BIP, Sharks (2 matchups remaining), Slimes (1 matchup remaining)
- Key Matchups Remaining: Week 10 vs Bridge Road Orcas (decides tiebreaker), Week 11 vs Zark's Sharks, Week 12 vs Slat's Slimes, Week 14 vs Zark's Sharks
PGH Crooners
Nathan has had the most up and down season of any of the teams we've looked at so far, but it seems like more ups are coming. The big thing for the Crooners is to not fall behind the Orcas in record, as they do hold that important tiebreaker on them. Due to WFT having a hard ass schedule, and the Crooners having two matchups versus a weak team, it seems like they will be ok. Taysom Hill is becoming a fantasy legend and I'm wondering if this positional advantage makes this team scarier. We will have to see what moves this team makes, but I've been told to not expect anything flashy. For now, they project as the last team in for me.
- Tiebreakers held: SBS (2 matchups remaining), Pirates, Orcas, CARTMAN
- Tiebreakers held against: PAJ (1 matchup remaining), WFT, BIP
- Key Matchups Remaining: Week 13 vs Slat's Slimes (decides tiebreaker)
Bridge Road Orcas
This is the last team that I'm giving the full service treatment to, because they are the last team with a real chance in my opinion. Beating the Pirates before the pick window was huge, and with 2 matchups remaining versus PAJ, things look great. The Orcas must find a way to win in week 10, but if they do, I think they will make it in. Something tells me that this push will be too little too late, and with the record disadvantage, and not holding tiebreakers on two key teams ahead of them, I think this will be the odd team out. There is still a chance, but with no flashy moves coming, I think he has a disadvantage in week 10. It's now or never.
- Tiebreakers held: PAJ (2 matchups remaining), SBS, CARTMAN, Pirates
- Tiebreakers held against: Slimes, Sharks, BIP, Crooners,
- Key Matchups Remaining: Week 10 vs Washington Fantasy Team (decides tiebreaker)
(Non Playoff Teams)
Parma Pirates
The Pirates had a fun season, but this was always where this season was headed. Look for the Pirates to make some big moves tomorrow.
Play Action Jackson
I think this team has some pieces to deal. I wonder which pieces though?
StepBurrow Stoppppp
This team will be amongst the most active of all teams tomorrow and throughout the window.
CARTMAN
Literally no clue what to expect. Hopefully that report of them wanting to buy is fake, right?
