Waiting to Flush

Note: Teams in this tier will be getting their last full write-up until the toilet bowl heats up, unless someone makes a major move. The rankings going forward will reflect my opinion on their rebuild as well as their chances in the toilet bowl. Week 14's power rankings will include a full breakdown of Toilet Bowl scenarios.

12. Muff Punters (📉-2)

Muff Punters may be asleep at the wheel. We might have to wait until next year to see what this team is really made of. Not much to say that I haven't said in previous weeks. They did win this week, so respect to them, but no pick trades on the season tells a story.

11. PT Flea Flik-er (📉-1)

PT Flea has aura. I'll give them that much. I like Jackson, and I like the approach he's taken. But let's be real for a second, this rebuild hasn't been quite as flashy as one could have hoped for. Their first extra pick begins in round 4, which is not a ton of ammo to build a great team next season. Of course, there's still time to make moves, but I have to put Jackson as likely to lose the toilet bowl AND lower on the totem of rebuilds. Some sharp draft choices can really change things for them next year, and starting with all of their picks will be a nice upgrade, as Jackson inherited Carter's shit fest.

10. GIRTH (📈+2)

It's time to give a slight, SLIGHT bit of credit to team GIRTH. They haven't won a game yet, which still makes them historically bad. In fact, if they lose this week, they will tie the record for most losses in a row. But from a different perspective, this team has achieved their goal for the season, which is to put together a world class rebuild. What many people don't know is that GIRTH team owner Brian is an Indian man, an Indian man who is a huge cricket fan. He really got into football in recent years, and his rebuilding year this time was spent watching a lot of games, and acquiring picks to use next year. I have to respect the angle, despite the team's results. With one of the best pick crops in the league for 2025, GIRTH has done some good things despite their almost guaranteed BYE in the toilet bowl.

9. The Blue Waffles (📉-2)

The Waffles took drastic action last week, selling a key keeper in Amon Ra St. Brown, and one of his best players on the season in Joe Mixon. This team punted the 2024 season in order to gain back value in 2025, but you have to ask yourself, was how they did it really worth it? If you boil it down, The Waffles ended up sacrificing this season, last season, and Amon Ra St. Brown for Justin Jefferson. It looked like the Waffles had a real chance at making the playoffs this year, but I can understand wanting to gain value for next year's depleted draft. While the Waffles don't appear to be in toilet bowl danger today, they will almost certainly sell more players for picks. The thing that will truly determine if this move was good will be their decision making next season. On paper, they lack pick ammo (even over teams below them on this list) and a solid third keeper. It was a very bold choice, and one that will take time to decipher.

8. Slat's Slimes (📈+1)

The Slimes were one of the biggest surprises of the week to me, as they managed to get a very nice haul for several key players. The keeper pool is looking thin, but the draft ammo is right up there with anyone else, just lacking an extra first to give him that top rebuild title. I am encouraged by the way this team has operated despite the rough season. That's the good, but the bad is this team will likely be a real threat to lose the toilet bowl. Is there even anything to walk to in rural Ontario? Surely there's a Timmies.

7. Bud Ice Penguins (📈+1)

The Penguins did exactly what I said they would last week, they executed and got themselves a nice draft haul. They will now be a toilet bowl team officially, but they just knocked off #1 Parma Pirates. This team is still pretty good, with basically no chance of losing the toilet bowl in their current configuration, and now they have extra picks including an extra first, and two extra thirds. The Penguins season went to shit, but the brothers have made the best of it.

The Big 6

6. The Bridge Road Orcas (📉-1)

This top 6 might be the toughest top 6 in any league ever. Most redraft leagues have a more even distribution league wide, but only a league like this can you get 6 real title contenders. The Orcas just happen to be at the bottom of that list to me, but there's some reason to believe. CMC is on the brink of coming back, and even though this team didn't make any moves and lost this week, their playoff odds just skyrocketed due to the Blue Waffles dropping out. Since there was no movement, I just want to see CMC play before I say anything definitive here.

5. Play Action Jackson (📉-1)

New rule - if you get a strike you don't get a write up in this poll the next week. Sorry fellas.

4. Parma Pirates (📉-3)

The Pirates still have control of the #1 seed, but lost an embarrassing one to the BIP team that had sold multiple pieces. With WFT and the Sharks making huge additions while the Pirates picked up only Kareem Hunt, it adds up that they would be lower on the list today.

3. Washington Fantasy Team (📈+3)

WFT has arrived. Curtis went out and did what everyone knew he would, built a playoff and championship contending team. They have capitalized on a weaker schedule leading up to this point, and have used it as a springboard to unleash hell on their remaining divisional games. There are some suspect spots on this roster, and his deal with the Slimes has made this team rely on older talent, but overall, Curtis has outdone himself again. Word on the street is that WFT is preparing another media drop as well. The intangibles and tangibles have reached a new peak for this team after dropping a stunning 160 points.

2. Sacks in the City (âž–)

As much as WFT has done to their roster, I still think Sacks in the City has more firepower in their starting lineup. The three RB strategy clearly paid off, and all three of them are absolute dawgs. Sacks should stroll to the divisional title and are very much in the mix for a top two seed and BYE. The moves they made this week were to use picks to acquire two different TEs, which was an interesting move. Nathan had been weak at that position all season, so it does add some depth to an already stellar roster. I'm not sure if another move is coming, but even if not, this team looks like they're ready for the playoffs.

1. Zark's Sharks (📈+2)

The Sharks surge up the list after acquiring Amon Ra St. Brown AND Joe Mixon in the same trade. This team already had a top starting lineup in the league, and now it's downright scary. I think teams could beat this team on a given week, but it won't be because they have more talent in their starting lineup. After successfully conducting a rebuild this season, the Sharks have decided to do it again next year, as most of their picks are gone due to the massive trade. The only thing I see holding this team back at all is health and lineup decisions. There's going to be some crazy names on that bench unit every week. After a big chunk at this spot, then some weeks away, the Sharks take back #1.
